In a recent development, Peter Obi’s legal battle against the victory of Bola Tinubu in the 2023 Presidential election has hit a roadblock as the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, sitting in Abuja, struck out his petitions.

The LP presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has expressed his determination to contest the tribunal’s judgment by taking the case to the apex court.

Yunusa Tanko, the spokesperson of the Peter Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council, has indicated that Peter Obi’s legal team is preparing to file an appeal at the Supreme Court, with the expected filing date set for next Tuesday.

It’s worth noting that Peter Obi is still well within the deadline for filing his petition, and there are no plans to change the legal team handling his case.

However, this development has sparked intense speculation among political observers. Many are questioning whether the higher court can alter the outcome of the election and potentially make Peter Obi the president of Nigeria, thereby unseating Bola Tinubu.

This would be an unprecedented turn of events in the history of Nigerian and African elections, leaving the nation on edge as it waits for the legal proceedings to unfold. The question of who will ultimately occupy Nigeria’s highest office remains the central focus of this ongoing saga.
